In some cases, it can be comparatively subtle, perhaps as a slightly rough shift up or down, but in others they may experience loud bumping and rattling that makes them feel as if their car is about to come apart. You twist it or push it up, down and sideways to navigate through menus, then press the joystick down to select and hope you don't move it in any other direction in the process. The two-tone Polar Beige Gravity leather seats in my test car helped disguise the tight feel by making the interior look light and airy. Only I would consider is if you need cargo space with passengers as when you are able to have the rear seats folded there is plenty but if you had friends in the back you are limited.

For straight-line driving, it t hugs the roads. For some, the Mini Cooper may be a bit stiff and its ride may be too harsh. One thing that makes the Cooper S feel so responsive is the light, quick steering. With the rear seats in place, there's a miniscule 5. Be sure to actually drive a car with the sports suspension and big rims, regardless of the Mini variant, before buying. As for handling, you will feel almost every bump in the road, although this is common in most sports cars.
