I'm on Windows 8, and its a little more complicated than windows 7. It's not an internet connection problem as I can surf and download fine. Ive seen the posts online about people going crazy trying to fix this problem and nobody seemed to have any answers. Im even more sure nothing has changed. If you are blaming it on a Norton update I hate Norton then my first reaction would be to disable Norton completely and then see whether or not the torrents work.
This is not a vendor support forum. We are a thriving community dedicated to helping users old and new understand and use torrents. Works like a charm but can hardly be considered a solution to the problem. I dont want to try connecting without airvpn to test it. The only way to fix the problem is to unplug the modem reset it, and plug it back in. It happened again using Pavonis.

. Ok I didnt fix the technical cause of the problem, however I did find the source of the problem. A recent Norton update Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution for me. Try , , or instead. Alternatively try , , , , , , ,. I haven't checked individual trackers to see if they're auto blocked as well. Now, I make sure I shut down the torrent client first, then shut the computer down.
Telling it to auto shutdown was the direct cause of my particular dht problems. So exit uTorrent once again. Although I have suggested he change Norton already, I never meant it whole heartedly, it was just there as part of an escape plan. I set my proxy connection to none , and that fixed it. Task Manager to ensure both Processes have finished Launch uTorrent only. Modem straight into network card 2. So if you were to not use vpn, but have proxy enabled in utorrent, then only utorrent would go through the proxy.
Something in that process causes this problem. I'm sticking my head in the sand for at least the remainder of the subscription on this one. Now you can check the torrent agian. Changing the program should be the last resort, after all else has failed. This makes me believe it is a software problem, and not a hardware problem on my end.
I got it to work by switching to Herculis server. I'm a total noob when it comes to torrenting btw so if I have left out any crucial info on how my problem could be fixed please ask me to provide it. I had had the problem intermittantly before but never really caught on to how I was causing the problem, and then it took time to see if it actually fixed my problem or if it would happen agian. Up until a couple of days ago, everything was fine. Lets try a test ok? Turns out I was playing with I2P and had enabled a proxy on 127. Hy, am also having this waiting to log in problem in bittorrent. I do not know what Norton you have, but I think you might have Norton Anti-Virus as well right? Perhaps the us gov can block traffic through the hubs? This has happened before, usually when they roll out a new version and I dont update it.

I am using Peerblock, tried closing it without any change Just to be sure: Exit both PeerBlock and uTorrent use e. I've heard even removing Norton can cause serious problems as it clings onto system resources for dear life.
