I don't understand why it worked. There are two ways to connect your controller to your computer. I am a disabled Vet trying to get this to work but it seems to no avail I believe I have tried everything and I fail. I was able to change my ps4 controller to a vjoy device and more. Private messages and other services are unsafe as they cannot be monitored.
I found this thread and it worked. No soliciting of any kind. However, even if I followed steps indicated on the website and inside the soft, the controller isn't recognized. Yes, you can connect your controller using Bluetooth. Both these tips are really strange, but I'll go ahead and try them out. I wonder if this is due to a change in Windows 10.
Games like these can cause double input in menus ie pressing down on the dpad moves 2 spaces or the wrong button to do incorrect functions. Noire this way and both work. You can set up controls for certain games, or set the lightbar to your favorite color. More concerning: there's currently no way to easily turn off the controller though the existing driver. The wireless connection is completed. It's likely a driver issue and may be limited to our specific radio, but others have reported similar issues.
I beleive this is part of the issue? Did you run into any problems with Zadig? It wont connect now, it will. I didn't follow the step carefully, so I simply installed the program. Deliberate posting of spoilers after warnings may constitute trolling under Rule 0. While in game, unplug your controller and then as you're plugging it back in, push a few buttons doesn't matter which simultaneously and the controller will re-connect in exclusive mode and work with the more finicky games. Select your controller and add it as a device on your computer. Then the controller doesn't work. I've tested Dark Souls and L. It will not work with both on. I recommend checking this out, as the forum post and the how-to's for this solution are really clear.
If someone has heard of this or knows something please let me know. I've since reverted to playing wired only btw, since in wireless mode it would sometimes seriously slow down input lag. In our testing, the DualShock 4's Bluetooth connection works well in Windows 8 and 8. The controller did not show up on devices neither. It was working fine for months before that.
Yes, the controller is showing up in ControlPanel altough, it is not saying that it has any manufacturer or anything, and my Joy. Issuing orders in is responsive and fast with the analog thumbsticks, and switching between squaddies with the shoulder buttons works just as you'd expect. However, When I try to view the settings to test the buttons it still doesn't show up. It should display your controller inputs on-screen. That also leads to battery life issues—as has been widely reported, the DualShock 4's battery life only averages out to 6-7 hours, and the controller will stay on and connected even when you're not using it. Removed the driver, and now Windows finally understands that it has bluetooth.
