Here is why: You never know if you will be in a crash. If you need to install more than one child restraint in the rear seat, be sure to read Where to Put the Restraint on page 1-40. You may be too far from your vehicle. Take a few steps to the left or right, hold the transmitter higher, and try again. The child restraint manufacturer will provide you with instructions on how to use the child restraint and its attachments. Do not shift into a drive gear while your engine is running at high speed. If the child restraint manufacturer recommends that the top tether be attached, attach and tighten the top tether to the top tether anchor, if equipped. Statistics show that unbelted people are hurt more often in crashes than those who are wearing safety belts. See Airbag Readiness Light on page 3-30. Services are subject to user terms and limitations. If they activate in a crash, you will need to get new ones, and probably other new parts for your safety belt system. Seat-mounted side impact airbags are not intended to inflate in frontal impacts, near-frontal impacts, rollovers, or rear impacts. To unlatch the belt, push the button on the buckle.
It will not give nearly as much protection this way. Have your safety belt pretensioners checked if your vehicle has been in a crash, if your airbag readiness light stays on after you start your vehicle, or while you are driving. Open the hood and unwrap the electrical cord. The plan term starts from the purchase date and kilometres on the odometer at the time of plan purchase. Press the clutch pedal back down. The lap part of the belt should be worn low and snug on the hips, just touching the thighs. If it is, the restraint will have a label saying that it meets federal motor vehicle safety standards. You might also slide under the lap belt. If your key is ever damaged, you may not be able to start your vehicle.
The system is automatically armed when the key is removed from the ignition. Unlock the door from the inside and open the door from the outside. This could cause serious internal injuries. If you have left the engine running, the vehicle can move suddenly. To signal a lane change, just raise or lower the lever until the arrow starts to flash. Restart the vehicle and have the person remain in this position for two to three minutes.
Aftermarket repair manuals such as Chilton and Haynes, on the other hand, are written for the do-it-yourselfer. Be sure to keep the area under the front seats clear to allow the flow of air to the rear compartment. Your vehicle may or may not have seat-mounted side impact airbags. If the belt stops before it reaches the buckle, tilt the latch plate and keep pulling until you can buckle it. The belt cannot properly spread the impact forces.
The cigarette lighter is located to the right of the front ashtray. Door Ajar Reminder If one of the doors on the sedan is not closed properly while the ignition is on, the door ajar light on the instrument panel comes on and stays on until the doors are closed. Do not have a seatback reclined if your vehicle is moving. Turn the ignition off and try again. Lock the doors by pressing the lock button on the remote keyless entry transmitter.
