Folder by folder, I reckon I could spend just a couple of hours transferring my sample collection into the Loopcloud environment. This is actually a kind of multiband compressor with auto gain-makeup, termed the Frequency Booster, with Top, Middle and Bottom level controls which of course refer to the frequency ranges being processed. Here also, the adjustable up to 10 seconds Glide function is just the thing for those Metalheadz-esque bends and swoops. This is a library of samples plugin with mass preset sounds that can all be tweaked to your liking.
Sample-management software sounds boring, but when you consider what this software plug-in has set out to do from the off, you should think differently. The library is delivered in the 2 Layer chord engine with one layer as a Chord Layer and one as a Note Layer. For the sub layer you can change the octave and just the gain attack and release. Taken on its own terms, then, Bass Master is a reliable, effective and slick solution for the producer looking to make big, solid, manually morphable bass sounds in a hurry. Being based on a finite selection of core waveforms does mean that this is all you have to work with, however, for the regular musician who just needs to dial in quality bass sounds without too much fuss there are more than enough options available. All effects help to add character to your sound. Switch Chorus to the Detune algorithm for analogue-style pitch drift, or Widen when you want to fill out the stereo field, for example.
With 550 creative inspiring chord presets you can produce with ease. Jaw-droppingly expansive in their creativity and sonic range, the patches within amaze and inspire at every turn. This is an instrument that wants to take you back to a golden era of dance music, when chord sampling was a ubiquitous technique, yielding a particular kind of sound and playing a major role in shaping the sounds of jungle, DnB, house and other genres. Search by instrument, genre, label, format, key or bpm, and Loopcloud then homes in on the Loopmasters samples you own so you can audition them live and in tempo. There are folders of weighty synth-bass grooves, resonant synth pads and keys patterns, and stomping house beats, all at a steady 124bpm. The big draw here was searchability and tempo matching. That corner has been turned a mere six months later — so here we are at Loopcloud 3.
Some of the looped samples have a separate key-release sound, which adds even more texture to the results. Clicking the button to the right of either sample menu loads a random sample into that oscillator. Im using it within GarageBand to demonstrate it's capabilities and functions along with my for my drums. If a button was added in an update allowing multiple notes to be played at the same time, I think this plugin could really allow for tons of creativity! To that end, each has just two controls Drive and Colour for Distortion, Amount and Rate for Chorus, Level and Size for Reverb , plus a menu of five, four and three distinct algorithms respectively for variation within each module.
Instead, the very easy-to-use Tag Manager lets you fill in the gaps, which might seem quite a task if you have a lot of samples, but it does let you do this by batch — just Ctrl+right-click to select the samples — which saves a lot of time.
