In any case, the result of all this now is that it doesn't say Unidentified Network anymore. They were first described in 1981 and have been in use since 1983. Do I need to start looking at viruses? Though at home I have access to connect directly or with the Ethernet, which doesn't seem to change the issue at all. I have a little bit of tech knowledge but I am certainly not a network professional and would only use it to view other networks for interference purposes anything else is probably out of my league. Hello, I'm about 4 hours deep into trying to fix this. ? There's nothing wrong with the hard drives. Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click P roperties. Main issue with 7 is I cannot access the 'net. If the update client gets turned off, or if the computer is shut down or falls asleep, the update client will stop working and we will not receive any updates. If for some reason it doesn't work right away, reboot again. The only way I can fix this is to turn off and unplug the modem, and restart Airport Express.
And yes, now I will update my specs. Is there a chance that my internet provider has changed something, or are my settings suddenly no longer valid for some reason? Some of the things I've looked up have worked for a day or a couple hours but without fail it crashes out. Copypasted the pastebin too for good measure. This also includes standard windows behaviour. I have looked at KisMac. So for a month I connect but no internet. This was simple and worked perfectly. At this point I hope it does find something because at least then this whole thing would make sense. I plan to call Comcast at some point soon.

Goto control panel, view by large icons, network and sharing centre, change adapter settings, delete local area conection 4. I have a wired connection to a Belkin router. Interesting no Comcast representatives have responded to this forum question in several months being up and several different people having this problem. When i try to connect to another hotspot down the street everything works fine so I dont get it. Currently I have switched the channel to 10 to see how that goes.

It's very possible that there is an internal break in one of the wires leading into the house or corrosion at a junction box, etc. At times I've been able to force sites to load by opening the page, starting trouble shooter and oddly enough pulling it up on my phone which seems odd to me but I think I'm just making it easier for my laptop to connect as there's already a link present.
